Playgroups…so fun.

Today has been fun.
I love a fun day…don’t you?  Granted now I have to finish editing a session and do yard work before the neighborhood yard nazi’s come after me for weeds in the front yard….
again…but…

This morning Lucas and I got to hangout with our new little playgroup.
See playgroups for my kids have always been a requirement.  With Lucas they are going to be huge since he is basically going to be an “only child” since the other 2 have a decade on him and there is just no other babies around to steal his toys!  Adam and Haley had each other to teach sharing and all that good stuff….
Lucas will be requiring friends to steal his toys and teach him life is just not fair and all the other good stuff…

Today we went to The Playroom in Chester  to meet up with my friends Megan and Kaylon and it was so interesting to watch how Lucas interacts with other little ones.
Too see what his “kid personality” is going to turn out to be…
With him having the older two around….
We keep up with them most days and all of his interactions with kiddos are normally with the 9+ age group.
They play with him but they move slower and give him full attention and whatever he wants…they carry him everywhere.
Pretty sure he will be 3 before he learns to walk the way his feet never hit the ground around here.
I was surprised to see how unsure he is of fast moving preschoolers and it took him a while to warm up to leaving the safety of my lap…
Shy?  Unadventurous?  Reserved? Mama’s boy?  Holy crap!
He has turned into Haley as a baby!
(Which by the way is fantastic because she was a great toddler!)
Much better than leaning towards Adam as a baby…shhhhoooooo I still haven’t recovered from toddler Adam;-)

I suppose we will keep getting him out in the world with his age group whenever we can.
He needs the chance to have those toys stolen… totally builds character.
He woke up this morning from his nap ready to go…

and thanks to Megan I actually even got a picture with me in it!
It is the little things like that that totally make my day!

You like those socks?  Sexy aren’t they?
They make ya wear them…Lucas didn’t know what to do with socks by the way.
The kid has a serious shoe/sock aversion going.

“WEEEEEEEE!!!!” and of course he did his clapping “Yeah!!!!” for them…
Have I shared that on here yet?  I don’t think I have…
So here ya go…how about 13 seconds of adorableness?

By the way…if you are in the Richmond area and looking for a playgroup just drop me a line.
We only ask that you make it to at least one playdate a month (normally Fridays but come Fall I will have to make some Monday/Tuesday dates) and of course we have mom’s night out’s.
Playgroups rock!
