Clara is my new best friend…cause she is awesome! { Finding Happy

Well that and I think she is a kindred spirit.
Another fellow gardening addict.
Except I am extremely jealous (but in the “I am in total awe” and think “you are awesome” way) of her.
Last week as part of a group I am in for my fellow crafting addict friends Clara invited us out to her flower farm to teach us flower arranging.

This was one class I just knew I wouldn’t miss…couldn’t miss!
You know I was the first one knocking on her door that night!  I couldn’t wait to be a sponge and learn anything and everything she was kind enough to share with us!
Her home was once an old train stop.  Absolutely beautiful and I swear you will never smell a bathroom as lovely as hers.
(She keeps her orders in the bathroom where she can control the temperature)

Her beautiful flower beds are such and inspiration!
She sells her lovely’s to area flower designers for weddings etc…

She is a joy to work with and has such a kind spirit.

I would agree with that…flowers totally make me happy!

That night Clara shared so many great tips with us…
Like…
When you cut flowers put them directly in a bucket of warm water because the plant will suck the water up faster and stay perkier.
For hydrangeas’ I had no idea that stripping the bottom of your stems will keep them going…

She was full of knowledge…
And you know I spent a ton of time in photo heaven…

The sad part is by the time I finally finished my “master piece” of flower arranging glory….
It was dark.  To dark to really take a quality image.
The next day I had the KISS concert I was shooting and only had time to take a fast picture of my masterpiece with the cell phone …
But it is better than nothing…

Clearly I will just have to make another arrangement at some point using the things she taught me!
I am so looking forward to my flower arranging classes this Spring at the college now
