Some gals are so graceful…

I am NOT.
“Graceful” will never be an adjective to describe me.
Ever.

Last night I am heading upstairs to bed…in arms I have my laptop, iPad, iPhone, a glass of water and 2 bottles for Lucas.
The stairs were dark…but I have lived here 8 years I can walk those steps blindfolded…right?
Wrong.
A towel had been put on the steps to be taken upstairs..why?  Who knows…there are 6 people living here.
These things happen.
My feet trip over the towel…get tangled..
I go tumbling forward but you KNOW I am not going to drop any of the stuff.
Right?  Hello!  I love my Apple products…lol!
As I land my face does a face plant on the laptop as it hits the hard steps.
Seriously…how does that even happen?

Instantly I am like “Oh crap this is not good!”
I have broken enough bones in my life to know that I had messed my face up pretty good.
Jill and Haley come running after hearing me going “Crap crap crap!”
Haley starts in on the “Mom your bleeding!”
I follow with a “That’s because your mother has two left feet!”

Jill laughed at me because I was all worried about the computer…duh!  It has all my photo’s on it!
So now I look like Daryl has been beating me.
Must be hard to be married to someone this clumsy!

But my first real black eye and probably a slight concussion since I am still dizzy when I stand up and can’t get rid of a headache.
Guess who is missing the 4th of July celebrations this year?
Boooooo!!!

Feeling all bummed about not getting to go to the Miles party I decided there was still no reason to not cheer myself up.
How would I do that?
