Ughh….such as life in social media.
So when I first joined FB back in the day I had no idea how to use it.
Heck half the time I am still scratching my head asking myself “what is the best way to use this site?”
Before I knew it I had 1000+ friends of which more than half of those folks I do not know.
I didn’t mind so much in the beginning.
Most of the folks are fellow photographers looking to network and they enjoy my work.
But what has happened is it has made it impossible to enjoy FB like most of my friends.
I can’t keep up with my real friends because my news feed is so full of people I don’t even know.
I try and thin that down with the ”hide this person” feature but with each change FB puts into place…
they all pop back on.
So this is what I have decided on..
I know this sounds rough but really…it’s nothing personal to those folks I do not know.
I am doing a major delete this week.
Basically I gab more with my friends on the Bramble Hill group page than I do on my own wall most days so it isn’t like a big loss or anything for those being deleted that still want to follow along…
But this way anyone who wants to network and continue following and gabbing photography/cooking/homeschooling…
you name it.
We can still do that on the group page! Just go over and hit that “Like” button.
I just need one little corner of my world to be with those I know for real and in person.
Keeping up with their world just the same as mine.
Here is the last thing…
If you get deleted and you think you shouldn’t have been…it could totally be a mistake!
I am deleting hundreds of folks so accidentally hitting one that was someone I actually do know may happen.
Just drop me a line saying “oops…don’t drop me!”
Seriously just trying to simplify life around this joint….
With baby coming I suppose the whole “nesting thing” is going virtual for me as well…hahahahaha!
