I warn you now…this post is crazy image heavy. Sometimes you just can’t say it all with words.
You need pictures!
I am a confessed history geek. Living in Va. does not help one stop geeking out on history.
Virginia actually feeds geekdom terribly.
Some people have season passes to amusement parks (we have those too..so no worries! We are still half cool.)
We have season passes to Colonial Williamsburg.
So we go there…alot. The great thing about Colonial Williamsburg is that they change it up constantly and have new programs and events. The grounds are beautiful and we still have yet to walk the entire place!
Figured it was time once again to share this fantastic spot and this time of year we love the handmade wreaths. They all use thing you find in nature and they are beautiful!

and they even sell the fun stuff to make your own (if you don’t have the time to go out and hunt down your own!)

and then of course they are always reacting the revolutionary time period. Such a great way for the kids to actually learn interactively!

I wonder what they will have for us to learn this Spring!![]()

Tisha - LOL! It is definitely not Busch Gardens
Since we live close though it is always just a really fancy field trip….their choice that day would be to sit in a classroom/office or go to Williamsburg for the day. I think that may be why they love it as much as I do
When you are this close you get to really learn all the little secret spots and we love watching their gardens! They are amazing and the kids even got to help the master gardener harvest flax seed last Spring and he taught them all about how to grow, harvest and use it. Which of course you know I was hanging on his every word (I am such a garden geek!)
